なぜ?何?何でマン?

By nandeman

Welcome to why? what? Nandeman? the blog of my illustrious self, the nandeman Perplexus. Excuse my obscure, perhaps even perplexing Pseudonyms (pseodonyme?) for I have a blog to deliver. This blog explores the otaku lifestyle I live and whatever mindless dribble I wish to express, some things in this blog may shock you, some things may amuse you, some may make you wish I would be silenced… but fear not, I am trying! Unsure what an Otaku is? (I believe) The word derives from the Japanese Taku 宅(house) and is the Japanese way of describing someone emersed completely in a hobby. In western society Otaku is a term which relates to Japanese animation, however in Japan their are various types of Otaku, but due to the impact of anime and manga in Japanese pop culture, Otaku are prominently anime, manga and/or videogame fans. According to the google language tools, Otaku (in Katakana オタク) is apparent to the word “maniac”.

My original name is Robert Rostant, and I am 17 years old and a citizen of the UK, my writing style is not how I speak in the real non virtual world, but it is how I think.. In August 2007 I will be traveling to the Orient, Japan to be precise for a 5 month adventure as an exchange student. That, my virtual friend is when the blog quality will fluctuate in brilliance (excuse my ego dear sir/miss…) but until then, I do sincerely hope you enjoy the strange ride, that is my blog. Enjoy.

Also, don’t be shy to comment, to me, comments will be like apples. Which I assure you, I really enjoy.

No, I am instead taking a gap year and returning to my A Levels one year late in the UK. During my gap year I will either work or probably become a hikikomori or something.
